Trafik Stockholm is a joint venture between the City of
Stockholm and the Stockholm Region of the Swedish Road
Administration. At present, Trafik Stockholm is responsible for
traffic management on Stockholm City streets and on the state roads
in Stockholm County and Gotland.
Through providing travellers with information and
guidance, Trafik Stockholm can reduce the number of accidents,
improve access and mobility and thereby alleviate congestion and the
harmful impact of traffic on the environment.
All in all, 20 operators work on shift in the
Trafik Stockholm control room. Three are on duty during daytime and
two at night. |

So very little is needed to
create havoc in traffic. Traffic can flow perfectly well in the
morning, and be completely jammed everywhere that very evening.
The same number of cars, streets and roads, but still a world of
difference. This is where we can really be of use.
